HISTORY;
Growing up Chicago, IL, Ella and her family were always considered average. Her father, George Rose, was a policeman, and her mother Sadie Rose, was a stay at home mom. Ella has two younger twin brothers, Leo and Zeke, who are three years younger. During the start of Ella’s eighth grade year, her father was killed in a drug bust gone bad. His partner made the wrong move, and left George in a pinch, he was caught between the seller and buyer, and was killed instantly by the bullet entering his heart.
Unable to support her family on her own and needing a change of scenery, Sadie moved the family to Cresting Grove to live with her old friend and ex boyfriend Hank Hughes. Ella, not wanting to move and leave her friends, began her rebellious stage. She had finally met a group of friends that didn’t pick on her and now she had to leave them. She knew that going to a new school meant being picked on all over again. This time she was going to fight back. She already had to act out at home to get attention to herself and away from her brothers. So why not in a new city and new school?
