BRIEF HISTORY; born to essence and jarold hampton in atlanta, kara grew up in a close-knit family. her parents would spoil her rotten, but letting her go her own way as well. her life was great and it was made even better when her younger sister, kylie, was born. however, as time went on, jarold developed a habit of drinking when kara was ten and kylie was six. when he started become abusive, that's when essence divorced him and brought her and her daughters with barely any money to the small town of cresting grove. ever since then, they have had no contact from jarold and have been trying to get back on their feet financially. currently, essence works at the local high school to bring in as much money as she can.
