"HELLO THERE, YOUNG GRASSHOPPER. HOW ABOUT YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF?""My name is Envy Renee Hopkins. I'm ninteen, and I work as a waitress. I'm currently in college to be a music producer and astronomer. I'm originally from Houston, Texas.""OH, YOU SEEM LIKE A VERY INTERESTING PERSON. WELL, NOW, WHAT DO YOU ENJOY?""Music is the top of my list. I simply adore music. I can play guitar, piano, and drums, and even sing a little. I'm an animal fanatic, and can't help but taking in strays from time to time. I love lightning, but hate storms, how odd is that? Most of the time, when I'm not working, I'm writing a story, a song, reading, or drawing, so I guess that makes it pretty clear that I'm a fan of the arts. I enjoy a good party from time to time, and I really love hanging out with friends.""NOW, ABOUT THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. WHAT IRRITATES YOU?""Oh, goodness, where do I begin? I cannot stand stuck-up people. They irritate me until the ends of the Earth and back. Television. I absolutely hate it. Nothing but fictitious "reality" shows, and people over exaggerating their lives. Animal abuse for sure. There's absolutely no need for it, and more animals are put down each year because they're abused to that point, than are put down every five years because of natural causes. It's stupid. I had country music. It's nothing but a bunch of whiny rednecks singing about the same damn thing over and over and over. Ohmygoodness, your girl left you. Get over it, it happens. That's another thing. People who cry over people they haven't even been with long. You were together for a year, cry me a river. ""OVERALL, HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?""I'm an upbeat type of person. I don't like things to slow down because of depression, and try to keep my own outlook as positive as possible. I'm very outspoken. If it's on my mind, it's out in the open. I don't care who you are. If I have something to say about you, I'm sure as hell going to say it. I have no fear. I don't fear anyone or anything. With a life like mine, who would? You learn not to after a while. I don't take bullcrap. From anyone. I keep people put in their places, and it doesn't take much. I may look small, but I'm stronger than you'd think, and I'm not talking big and bad. I mean, I've had my words knocked back into my mouth more times that I can count. But I've also knocked other peoples' words back, just as many times, if not more. I'm pretty loyal to those who are loyal to me, though I can be quite a control freak at times, and that usually makes it hard for me to keep friends. I get angry easily, and when I do, it's best to just leave me alone, or I may say things I'll later regret. That or do things. It all depends on the situation. I'm very analytical, and I do sometimes over analyze things, and in those cases, I make it a bigger deal than it really is. I'm one of those people that you'd think was heartless, until you got to know me. I'm secretive, I don'y just spill all the details about my life. I'd rather keep most of it to myself. I tend to be a loner at times, and I'm exactly your social butterfly. I do like to go to parties, though, and making a few new friends never hurt anyone.""OOH, THAT SEEMS LIKE MY KINDA FRIEND. MOVING ON, I'M BLIND. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?""Well, I'm tall-ish. I'm 5'6". I'm very tiny and petite looking. I weight about 110, and can lift well over two hundred fifty pounds, though I don't look it. My hair is a dark reddish-brown, and I have blue-grey eyes. My legs are long and slender, and my waist is curvy. I have a slut's body, though I'm nothing of the sort. I usually dress in 'emo' fashion, or just whatever. I have angel wing tattoos on my shoulder blades, and the Chinese symbol for prosperity on my right wrist. I also have my little sister's name tattooed on my left ankle.""JUST KIDDING, I CAN SEE PERFECTLY FINE AND YOU LOOK EXACTLY AS YOU DESCRIBED. NOW TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FAMILY.""I, honestly, only care for one person in my family, and that's my sister. Her name is Raven Lucille Hopkins. She's eight years old, and my life. My mother and I lost our relationship about three months ago, and my father and I lost our relationship two years ago. Now, if I ever saw my father, I feel I might try to kill him. My mother, she'd get a few choice words and maybe a beating. Raven currently lives with foster parents in Tennessee. Her foster parents are the mother and father of my best friend, Caroline. My mother gets her money from prostitution, and my father is a carpenter. They still live in Houston. I honestly don't like talking about them, so I'll just leave that subject alone.""THEY SEEM LIKE GREAT PEOPLE. I'LL HAVE TO MEET THEM ONE DAY. IS THERE ANYONE WHO INSPIRES YOU?""My inspiration would have to be... Black Veil Brides, my favorite band. They've taught me so much, and to not care what people think of me. They taught me to be myself, and even saved me from suicide. They helped me hold on to my life, and realize that it was worth something, and all they ever did was make songs.""THAT'S AMAZING. MY DOG INSPIRES ME. OH, DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?""I do! I have a orange tabby cat named Luke, and a boxer named Fawn. I love them to death.""THAT'S SO ADORABLE. I'M NOT TRYING TO HIT ON YOU, BUT WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A LOVER? AND WHAT DO YOU TRY TO AVOID?""Well, personally, I love guys with long-ish hair. Cut in the 'emo' style. Skinny, but not too skinny. I'm pretty shallow. I love hazel and green eyes. They simply amaze me. I don't like facial hair. Never have. Not sure why. I don't like blonde hair either. I love black hair, or colored hair, like blue or something along those lines. Personality wise, I want someone who is sweet, yet spontaneous, and isn't afraid to have a heart-to-heart every now and again. I like someone who wants to do things with me. Go to parties, go on dates. Who treats me the same around his friends as he does when we're alone. I like people who are playful. I love to wrestle, so if you want to wrestle, let's go for it! I love it! It's fun. Someone who can make me laugh, definitely, and isn't shy. I don't like shy guys. I don't like guys who boss me around, or feel that they control the relationship, since relationships are suppose to be mutual things. That's about it.""HM, I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO FITS THAT DESCRIPTION. HOW DID YOU GET TO CRESTING GROVE?""Well, I grew up in Houston, Texas, and my lifestyle there was absolutely horrible. My dad was drunk all the time, and my mother never gave a crap about me. So, whatever. I'd wake up, go to school, come home, fix my own dinner, shower, go to bed, and do it all over again. For years that was my routine. When my little sister, Raven, was born, my mother wouldn't take care of her, so I did. I fed her, changed her. Put her sleep. Everything. Mother never lifted a damn finger for her. I was in fifth grade whenever Raven was born, so it was a bit hard to juggle taking care of her and school life. I became easily irritable, and snapped on many people in the middle of class. Started getting into fights, and got my ass handed to me quite a few times, but not without a good fight.
When I went into high school, it only got worse. I was lucky enough that my mom actually registered Raven into school. To keep herself from going to jail, of course, but still. It gave me one less worry during the day. I'd get her off the bus when I got home, take her to a daycare center, walk to work, and repeat. Every day. My mom had been a whore since before I was born, so it was nothing new to me. I tried to shield Raven from most of it, however. Luckily, I've done a good job. Even if I do say so myself.
I saved enough money to buy myself a car when I was sixteen. It was just something that my friend's dad had left in his used car lot, and since Caroline was my best friend, and her family like my seconds family, he co-signed the title, and off I went. When I was seventeen, Caroline's family got involved in the way my mother treated Raven and I by not taking care of us, and took us in after we went to court. I lived with them up until a few months ago. We all moved to Tennessee and I started registering for colleges everywhere, and got accepted to one here in Cresting Grove, and I decided to come to this college, get away from everything for a while. I still visit Tennessee from time to time, and Caroline brings Raven to visit when Raven is out of school for breaks, holidays, and what not. It's pretty alright now, but I can't let go of what I've already seen."
