"HELLO THERE, YOUNG GRASSHOPPER. HOW ABOUT YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF?""My name is Kensington, but I’d much rather be called Kensie. I find the name Kensington to be rather pompous and, well, long. I don’t mind if you call me either, though. I’m sixteen years old, which makes me a junior at my high school. You can either find me at school, or as a part-time waitress at The Titanic. Living in a small town is a little odd for me, since I come from Washington DC, which is filled with tourists almost every day of the year, and there’s a very busy sense around the place. As far as sexuality goes, I don’t really date as much as other girls, but I’m definitely straight.""OH, YOU SEEM LIKE A VERY INTERESTING PERSON. WELL, NOW, WHAT DO YOU ENJOY?""Oh, gosh! What do I enjoy? Well, a lot of things. I like sunsets, beaches, movies, the color purple. I absolutely love animals, I have two dogs and one cat of my own. But one thing that I love most are stories, novels, books, fairytales! Oh, I could just lose myself in a book, and you wouldn’t ever be able to get me out of that world. In fact, I just finished a book the other day about this wonderful quiet girl who—oh, you probably aren’t interested. I’m sorry, I tend to do that a lot.""NOW, ABOUT THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE. WHAT IRRITATES YOU?""I hate politicians. Not only because my dad is one. I hate liars, people who aren’t honest, I can’t stand people who get drunk every night, almost as much as I hate people who get high all the time. Obnoxious and rude people get me, but definitely people who are pessimistic.""OVERALL, HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF/""I’m pretty optimistic and happy, I think. I’m very shy though, but if you get to know me, I’ll talk a lot and let you get to know me. It takes me a little bit to get to that stage however. I always have lots in my thoughts, even if I don’t voice them out loud. I’d like to think that I’m genuine and pretty nice when it comes to it, though. I’m really bad with doing risky and super fun things, so sometimes I feel like I’m missing that part in life. Maybe I just need a little excitement, and some guts, because me, I’m pretty boring when it comes down to it.""OOH, THAT SEEMS LIKE MY KINDA FRIEND. MOVING ON, I'M BLIND. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE?""Oh! I’m kind of small, petite, I look seriously young, which totally means I can’t pass for anything past like, my age. Which is kind of cool in a way, but I always feel like a little kid around people. I’m 5’2, I have green eyes, and brown hair. I weigh about 105 pounds, though honestly, I haven’t weighed myself in forever. Oh! I like to wear my hair curly and kind of wavy, though if I’m particularly lazy, I’ll just straighten it. I like to wear cute little dresses, or comfortable clothing, but I’d hardly say I’m a fashionista of any kind.""JUST KIDDING, I CAN SEE PERFECTLY FINE AND YOU LOOK EXACTLY AS YOU DESCRIBED. NOW TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FAMILY.""Oh god, I actually hardly have a family. I’m an only child, technically, unless my dad decides to get married to one of those sluts he sleeps around with and gets another kid of his own, which then I wouldn’t be surprised. So it does get a little lonely, but I’ve never really had a problem with it, I mostly keep to myself anyway. Um, my dad’s like this hotshot politician in Congress or something, so I used to live with him. Not technically, because he was hardly home and the only person who I talked to as a kid would be like, neighborhood friends or my pets. I don’t really get along well with my Dad, mostly because I don’t even really know him. I love my mom though! That’s why I moved out here, to get closer to my mom. Plus some other things that I’d rather not mention.""THEY SEEM LIKE GREAT PEOPLE. I'LL HAVE TO MEET THEM ONE DAY. IS THERE ANYONE WHO INSPIRES YOU?""Oh, definitely my mom. She’s like, the strongest person I know. I know that a lot of people don’t necessarily like their mom, especially at my age, but my mom’s really amazing. I also am inspired by a lot of book characters, actually. I absolutely love Jane Eyre, oh, and Scarlett O’Hara from Gone With the Wind? Inspirational!""THAT'S AMAZING. MY DOG INSPIRES ME. OH, DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?""I have two beautiful dogs and one stunning cat. Athena’s my Persian kitty, which I named after of course, the brilliant Greek God Athena. Did you know she was born out of Zeus’s skull? It was like, Zeus ate his wife or something like that, and she was born! Ugh, I love Greek Mythology. I have a huge cuddly Golden Retriever named Peter, after Peter Pan of course! And a tiny yorkie named Wendy. If my dogs and cat like you, then you’re definitely someone I’m into. My pets have a very good taste in character.""THAT'S SO ADORABLE. I'M NOT TRYING TO HIT ON YOU, BUT WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A LOVER? AND WHAT DO YOU TRY TO AVOID?""If someone drinks, does drugs, or like, gets high every weekend, that’s a definite turn off for me. I can’t stand that kind of stuff, it just rubs me off the wrong way. I like someone who’s genuine, kind, loves animals just as much as I do. I’m not particularly picky, but if you’re honest, and have a nice sense of humor, and we can talk like old friends, I’ll definitely be interested.""HM, I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO FITS THAT DESCRIPTION. HOW DID YOU GET TO CRESTING GROVE?""My parents divorced when I was eight years old, because my dad had an affair with another woman. I used to live with my father after the divorce, but he never had any time for me, and he always threw his little college-get together parties. One day, something really, really terrible happened, and I really couldn’t stand living with my father anymore. I kind of.. I was eleven, and I didn’t know what to do, so I was like a turtle and crawled into my little shell. My dad got sick of me, and decided to ship me off to my mom’s a year later, who moved out here with her family when she was getting a divorce. I don’t regret the decision. I miss my friends out in DC, but living out here is a thousand times better than living with my Dad. "
